Quintessential Beauty
Local artist, Kate Casparius, is inspired by the quintessential beauty of Maine and uses watercolor, pen & ink, graphite, pastels and digital art tools to create her peaceful originals.
A longtime doodler, Kate has always had a love for art and dabbled in various art forms throughout the years. A continuing education course introduced her to watercolor and although challenging, she loved the peacefulness she is able to convey through her small pieces.
Prior to Covid, Kate had done several art shows in Poland, South Paris and in the Lewiston/Auburn area and has shown her work at LA Arts. Recently retired, she is able to dedicate more time to her art and has done several commission pieces and designed the cover for "Cuminhnigh Orm, Remember Me", a book of poetry by Judith Thyng.
